After Hour & Emergency Care
We understand that illness and emergencies don't always occur between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Therefore, after-hour calls made to our main office numbers will be automatically forwarded to our answering service. Your call will be promptly transferred to the Nurse Call Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to determine if your child needs to be seen right away and can direct you to the appropriate facility for care. Sometimes they provide home instructions, but if necessary, the physician on call for our practice will be paged directly and will return your call. All triage nurse phone calls and discharge summaries from the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta ER and Urgent Cares are faxed to our office and reviewed the next business day. Our office will call to follow up on patients as needed.
